Podcasts are the perfect accompaniment for everyday tasks, from cooking to hitting the gym or even transforming mind-numbing traffic on the way home to your favourite time of day.

Here’s Equilibrium’s top five podcasts, some work-related and some just for fun to keep your brain engaged.

1. Eat sleep work repeat

3. Freakonomics radio

Host: Stephen J. Dubner, award-winning Author and Journalist

What will I learn? In-depth research on a huge variety of topics to expand your knowledge

Overview: Freakonomics radio explores “the hidden side of everything”, from the economics of sleep to how to become great at just about anything. This podcast will enlighten you to the things you always thought you knew (but didn’t) and things you never thought you wanted to know (but do).


4. No such thing as a fish

Hosts: Dan, Anna, Andy and James, the Researchers behind the BBC Two show, QI

What will I learn? Random, useless facts that everyone needs in their life
