logo-icon What qualifications do I need to work at Equilibrium?

It depends entirely on the role you’re applying for. To join our Diploma Academy the only prerequisite is a positive attitude! For client managers, we require a CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or a plan in place to achieve this).

Take a look at our roles to find out more about our requirements.

logo-icon How long can I expect to wait to hear back about a role I've applied for?

We aim to get back to you as quickly as possible once all our interviews are complete. This will usually be a week or less. Many employees have commented on how quick our recruiting process is, and we pride ourselves on its efficiency.

logo-icon Do you offer flexible working?

In order for people to have a life out of work we have a flexible working framework which gives our team the opportunity to spend some of their working week outside of the office and the freedom to work at a time that suits them where possible.

logo-icon What are your company values?

We have four key values that influence everything we do:

Excellence – be the best

Integrity – always do the right thing

Simplicity – simplify the complex

Growth – never stop learning

logo-icon Does the company organise social events?

We have plenty of team outings! Past events have included bowling and BBQs, not to mention our end of year team briefing which is kept secret every year. Crazy golf and iceless curling are just some of the recent surprise activities. We also have a 5-a-side football team and regular yoga classes.

logo-icon Do you pay for CII exams and study materials?

Yes, we do! Client Managers have all CII exams paid for by Equilibrium. We will also pay for non-financial planning exams such as accounting or marketing. Staff also have all exam materials paid for, a day off for study leave per exam and further guidance and support where necessary.

logo-icon How many holidays do you offer staff each year?

We give staff 33 days' holiday per year, on top of bank holidays. Staff are then given an extra day per complete year of employment until they reach the maximum of 38 days' holiday per year plus bank holidays – which equates to almost nine working weeks of holiday!

logo-icon What additional perks do you offer staff?

To provide a fun and engaging workplace for staff, Equilibrium offers several perks. These include free breakfasts, a 'do not disturb' room for relaxation periods throughout the working day and access to the discount and benefits platform 'Perkbox'. In addition, we have a dartboard and pool table where the team unleash their competitive side. We also encourage staff well-being with initiatives such as regular massages and mediation sessions, as well as a free subscription to the Calm app.

logo-icon Is there room for growth and development at Equilibrium?

Yes, definitely! At Equilibrium we have worked hard to establish an environment that allows employees to thrive and develop professionally. As well as offering to pay for various training courses, we have developed a culture where employees can speak openly, discuss ongoing projects and introduce new ideas.

logo-icon What’s the interview process for joining Equilibrium?

If your CV looks like it might be a perfect fit, you'll receive a phone call from our Culture Department, to chat about the job and find out a little bit more about yourself. If that goes well you'll be asked to complete a Kolbe, which is a method of finding out how you like to work. If, after this, you look like a good match for the role you will be invited in for a face-to-face interview with the relevant teams.
