At Equilibrium, our application process aims to be as effective as possible, ensuring candidates can get an accurate picture of what it's like to work with us.
Read about our application process below.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have listened closely to government advice and have adapted our interviewing and onboarding processes as required. Any changes will be explained to you when we get in touch about the role you’re applying for.
1. Initial chat
Seen a role that you'd like to go for? Great! Send us your CV and a short covering letter. If we think you're a good fit, we'll be in touch for a quick chat to find out a bit more about you (warning: CVs with typos will not be considered so worth that triple check...).
If the initial chat goes well, we'll then ask you to go through a quick conative test called a 'Kolbe’. Don't worry, there aren't any right or wrong answers. Your Kolbe score will simply give us a helpful indication of how you naturally go about tasks and what your gut instincts are. Everyone at Equilibrium has a Kolbe score so it is important we have variety.
If everything is looking good after the Kolbe, we'd like to meet you. Depending on the role you're applying for, you'll either be asked to attend one or two interviews to find out more about you and your ambitions. We know how tricky it can be to apply for a job when you're already working so we will try to be flexible with interview times.
If you impress us in the interview, we'll invite you to join the team! Once the offer has been accepted, we’ll begin background and reference checks.
Congratulations! We know you'll be nervous so we prepare everything we can to make sure you hit the ground running (some chocolates and a welcome-to-the-team lunch trip always help). In the first 12 weeks you'll have a detailed schedule including introductions to all our different departments and training wherever it’s needed. We know it'll seem like a whirlwind, but we were all there once, and there'll be plenty of support and catchups along the way.
