Why would anyone want to work at EQ?
Well, we are one of the best companies to work for in the country. (Not to brag, but it’s kind of a big deal)
Most of our lives are spent at work, so it’s extremely important that we’re happy in our workplace. Not only that, but a happy team is a productive team.
Free pizza, regular meditation sessions and a game of pool on a Friday afternoon can go a long way, but they don’t mean anything if the culture behind them doesn’t truly care. While the aforementioned perks are great, they aren’t the real reason Equilibrium is one of the best companies to work for in the country.
We want our team to feel truly fulfilled in their work. That’s why we invest so much in personal development and offer to pay for exams for all staff to advance their career. We believe in training our employees so well that they could easily get another job but treating them well enough and like adults means that they don’t want to.
We also create career paths that suit our employees’ skills and interests. Our Head of Culture started at Equilibrium as a personal assistant, and our Head of Systems and Management joined us as a client manager. To get the best out of anyone, their role should utilise their key talents. While not everyone who shows an interest in pizza gets to be a Chief Pizza Taster, we try to play to people’s strengths whenever it’s appropriate.
We survey the team once a year, allowing anyone to make any comments or suggestions. This allows senior management to address any issues and ensure everyone is happy.
Ultimately, we know that happy employees equal happy clients, and that’s why our business is thriving.
