Company values – why are they important?

Having a clear purpose and values helps a company work together.

At Equilibrium, our purpose is to make people’s lives better – that includes our clients, our staff and our community.

Underpinning this purpose are four values that we apply to absolutely everything we do:

• Growth
• Simplicity
• Excellence

So, what exactly do these values mean to us?

Integrity

To us, integrity means always doing the right thing (even when nobody is watching). We are open and transparent about our fee structure (detailed in our retail client agreement), and we will only ever make recommendations for clients if it’s in their best interests.

Growth

We never stop growing, learning and developing. Equilibrium has ambitious growth plans, which enables us to attract, retain and develop the most talented team. It also enables us to continually develop our business and find innovative ways to deliver the best service to our clients.

Simplicity

We simplify the complex. The financial industry can be full of jargon and complicated processes, but we promise to always speak to our clients in a language they understand.

Excellence

We strive for excellence in everything we do. This can be seen in our client retention rate of over 99%, as well as the awards and accreditations we’ve consistently been awarded over the years. Every single task we do, we ask ourselves: ‘am I demonstrating excellence’?

At Equilibrium, we believe it’s vital to have strong, clearly outlined values. If everyone shares the same vision, it’s much easier to work towards it.
